Advantages of Network Marketing

There’s so many advantages to network marketing (along with some disadvantages) I couldn’t possibly list them all in one article. That being said, I’ve identified what I feel are three of the greatest blessings of network marketing as compared to traditional business.
Your Hours Are Not Completely Dictated By Your Customer Base
If you think about it, most traditional business’ have to be open during certain days and hours of the week if they want to stay competitive.
I’m not saying this is a bad thing but if a store owner (or his employees) want to take a Thursday off to hang with the kids or sleep in late on Saturday mornings, they have to find someone to cover for them. Essentially, their hours are dictated by their customer base.
As a professional network marketer, you are in the drivers’ seat on what days and times you want to work. Sure, when making phone calls you need to be mindful of the time zones you’re calling to.
And just because your hours aren’t 100% decided by your customer base doesn’t give you an excuse to be lazy and not work. This is more about having the freedom to choose when you’ll work and do it because you want to rather than because you have to.
Low Risk
Notice I didn’t say “zero” risk.
Unscrupulous networkers would have you believe that one of the advantages of network marketing is the fact there’s no risk involved. My goal, on the other hand, is to give you as honest of information as I can; and the truth is, network marketing does come with a degree of risk.
The good news is it’s minimal risk in contrast to regular business paths.
For instance, have you ever looked into what it costs to own a fast food franchise?
According to allbusiness.com, it can cost anywhere from $250,000 to $1,000,000 just to get started. Not to mention the cost of upkeep, maintenance, and whatever other fees the company wants to tack on.
Now, don’t get me wrong, a fast-food franchise (or any other franchise) can be a great way to earn a high income. I don’t know about you, but if I wouldn’t feel comfortable putting $1,000,000 on the line in hopes of greater fortunes.
The risk is just too high for me. Network marketing on the other hand does have the potential to bring an enormous amount of income to you at very low risk. You can join most companies for under $500.
Note: If a company charges more than $500 for an additional buy-in, find a different one. There’s plenty of legitimate companies out there to join that won’t cost you a fortune to get started.
Very Few Reason’s Why Someone Can’t Succeed
This is a big one. Think of all the business’ out there and the time, energy, and skill development it took to engineer some of the products and services offered.
Think of the genius it took to start Google.inc. What about apple, facebook, or even “mom and pop” business to a smaller degree?
Could anyone have conjured up the ideas, capital, and effort it took to build these empires?…Maybe.
Reality is, most business require a huge investment by yourself or investors coupled with a brilliant mass marketing plan.
Network marketing also requires skill development but it isn’t nearly as hard. In fact, one of the core advantages of network marketing is that there’s very few reasons’ why someone can’t succeed as compared to other entrepreneurial avenues.
The most important things you need are drive, energy, and skill. Money also plays a factor but to a small degree.
It’s also important to remember that no business is perfect. Network marketing does have it’s disadvantages and you also need to be mindful of those in your prospecting efforts as to not project a false sense of reality to your prospects.
Using the three advantages of network marketing listed above, it’s easy to see why so many people have chosen built fortunes in the network marketing industry.
